Vitamin B3 (Calpan)
- Form: White free-flowing powder.
- Pharmacological properties: 1 g contains the active ingredient: calcium D-pantothenate (Vitamin B3) – 98% (1 mg of calcium D-pantothenate corresponds to 0.92 g of pantothenic acid). Calcium pantothenate plays an important role in regulating metabolism (fatty acids, hormones, amino acids and carbohydrates), increasing immunity. In cells, calcium pantothenate is in the form of coenzyme A and, in compounds with proteins, forms enzymes (in particular in the body of ruminants), which are involved in the processes of metabolism of volatile fatty acids.
- Storage conditions: Dry, cool place at a temperature of 0 to 20°C.
- Packaging and storage: Paper bags with polyethylene or polypropylene inserts, 25 kg. Cardboard boxes with polyethylene inserts, 25 kg. Shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture.
Effectiveness of application: Vitamin B3 (Calpan) participates in the oxidative breakdown and resynthesis of fatty acids, in the formation of phospholipids, synthesis of acetylcholine, oxidation of pyruvic acid, glucose absorption, protein metabolism. It is used for animal feeding as part of premixes, compound feeds, milk replacers and liquid feeds.
Application standards: The vitamin supplement is administered with feed in a dose of:
- Broilers - 10-12 mg/kg feed;
- Laying hens – 8-10 mg/kg of feed;
- Pigs – 15-20 mg/kg of feed;
- Cattle – 10-20 mg/kg of feed;
- Horses – 6-8 mg/kg of feed;
- Fish – 40-50 mg/kg of feed.
Overdose: It is important to follow the instructions for use.

Special precautions for personnel: Use protective gloves and goggles when adding the feed additive to the feed.
