Premixes and concentrates for cattle

A correct, balanced feed ration is one of the important factors contributing to the increase in efficiency in livestock farming. A complete diet allows not only to obtain high productivity and quality of livestock products, but also to maintain the health of livestock, reduce the cost of the livestock enterprise. The formation of rations and compositions of feed mixtures for cattle is a rather difficult task, due to the peculiarities of the digestive system of this group of farm animals. But the development of new technologies in the production of feed and feed additives makes it possible to effectively use various concentrates and premixes in modern livestock farming.

Premixes and concentrates for cattle are a homogeneous powder mixture of vitamin and mineral components. There are many different options for preparing these mixtures, but they are all perfectly balanced, which allows you to get the necessary result in the optimal time. The composition of the concentrates is quite diverse. Premixes for cattle contain a number of vitamins, micro- and macroelements, antioxidants, antimicrobial drugs, etc. This composition allows you to provide the animal's body with all the most necessary biologically active substances.

Premixes are used as additives to the main ration of cattle in a ratio of approximately 0.5% - 1% (depending on the degree of concentration) of the total weight of dry feed. As a filler for premixes, crushed grain or its processing products are usually used. It is also possible to use powdered cake, meal or feed yeast. The most effective method of using a premix is to prepare compound feed based on it. It is important to ensure that the homogeneity when mixing such a mixture is maximum, and reaches at least 99%.
