Iodine checker "Deza Iod"“

Pharmacological properties:
ATS vet classification code: QV07AV – technical disinfectants.
Iodine, which is the main active ingredient, has a wide spectrum of antimicrobial action and in recommended doses does not exhibit local irritant and toxic effects. After activation of the product by its ignition, an exothermic reaction begins, resulting in the sublimation of iodine. The resulting vapors have high penetrating power, and iodine exhibits an active bactericidal effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Salmonella enterica (serovars Enteritidis, Typhimurium, Pullorum), Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Bacillus subtilis, Campylobacter jejuni, Proteus vulgaris, Proteus mirabilis, Avibacterium paragallinarum), mushrooms (Candida albicans, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and viruses (birds – Newcastle disease virus, Infectious bursal disease virus, Marek's disease virus, Egg drop syndrome virus, Influenza A H5N1, pigs – Classical swine fever virus, African swine fever virus, Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus, Transmissible gastroenteritis coronavirus, Teschovirus, Porcine circovirus type II, cattle – Bovine alphaherpesvirus 1, Bovine viral diarrhea virus, Bovine parainfluenza-3 virus).
Application
The product is intended for preventive and forced disinfection of veterinary supervision facilities, in particular livestock premises, and animal care facilities..
Dosage
The product is used at an ambient temperature of not lower than 15°C and a relative humidity of not lower than 60 %. Before treatment, surfaces are mechanically cleaned and washed, since the presence of organic contaminants on the treated surfaces reduces disinfection activity. The premises are sealed (windows, doors are closed, ventilation is turned off). Bottles with the product, in the required quantity, are placed in several places on the floor surface, on non-combustible supports (brick, concrete, etc.), the wicks are set on fire and quickly leave the room. The burning time of 1 bottle is 15-18 s. During combustion, iodine vapors are formed, which, together with smoke from light brown to purple, rise upwards, spread evenly and slowly settle on the floor.
To disinfect livestock premises, an iodine concentration of 200 mg/m is created.3. For this purpose, in a room with a volume of 1000 m3 place 10 bottles of 50 g or 5 bottles of 100 g. After the end of the exposure period, the room is ventilated for 30 minutes. Only after this is the entrance of service personnel and the placement of animals allowed. Equipment, feeders and areas of surfaces accessible to animals are washed with water. Metal surfaces are sprayed with 1% sodium thiosulfate solution to prevent corrosion.
