- Form: White or white with a yellowish tinge microcrystalline powder.
- Pharmacological properties: Vitamin D3 affects the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus, starting with its absorption in the intestines and ending with its excretion from the body.
- Storage conditions: Store in the manufacturer's packaging in a dark, dry, well-ventilated area at a temperature not exceeding 25ºС.
- Packaging and storage: Vitamin D3 is packed in 25 kg multi-layer paper bags. Shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture.
Effectiveness of application: Vitamin D3 ensures the formation of bone tissue in animals and poultry during the growth period, in the treatment of rickets, osteomalacia, bone fractures. When the level of calcium in the blood decreases, vitamin D3 ensures its transfer from bone tissue.
Application standards: Vitamin D3 is introduced into premixes and compound feeds in accordance with existing vitamin introduction technologies. Recommended introduction rates (per 1 kg of finished feed):
- Chickens – 2500-3000 IU;
- Chickens (young) – 1500-2000 IU;
- Laying hens – 2000-2500 IU;
- Broilers for fattening – 2000-4000 IU;
- Turkeys for fattening – 2000-3000 IU;
- Piglets – 1200-2000 IU;
- Fattening pigs – 600-1500 IU;
- Sows – 1000-1500 IU.
Overdose: It is important to follow the instructions for use.
Special precautions: The use of vitamin D3 feed additive requires strict rationing. Both deficiency and excess of this vitamin are harmful to animals. With an excess of vitamin D, calcium mobilization from the diet is enhanced, it is deposited in the kidneys, on the walls of blood vessels and in other organs. Hypervitaminosis of vitamin D is usually accompanied by digestive disorders in animals.
Special precautions for personnel: Use protective gloves and goggles when adding the feed additive to the feed.
