Poultry meat and bone meal
- Form: gray-brown powder with a specific odor.
- Pharmacological properties: Meat and bone meal is used as a premix for the production of compound feed. It helps to balance essential amino acids in compound feed, except for methionine and cystine. Meat and bone meal is a source of B vitamins, which play an important role in metabolism. The product contains ATP, creatine, glutamine and glutamic acid, which is a carrier of the H2 group. Its deficiency can cause growth depression in chickens whose diet is supplemented with synthetic amino acids.
- Storage conditions: Store in the manufacturer's packaging in a dark, dry, well-ventilated area at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 75%.
- Packaging and storage: Meat and bone meal is packed in polyethylene bags weighing 20 kg and 25 kg. The shelf life is 12 months from the date of production.
Quality indicators:
- protein – at least 50 %;
- crude fat – no more than 11 %;
- humidity – no more than 9 %;
- calcium – 6.5-11.6 %;
- phosphorus - 3.3-5.9 %;
- sodium – 1.5-1.6 %.
Effectiveness of use: Meat and bone meal is used as feed for poultry and pigs, as well as for enriching compound feeds for young animals, when fattening farm animals, cattle, poultry and fish. Adding meat and bone meal to feed allows you to achieve the following results:
- increasing feed productivity;
- enrichment of feed with proteins, useful amino acids, vitamins, minerals;
- normalization of metabolism in animals and poultry;
- increasing the nutritional properties of feed.
Application standards: The dosage of meat and bone meal depends on the body weight of the animal or poultry:
- Cattle and livestock – 2-4%;
- piglets, replacement young pigs, boars – up to 15%;
- sows, fattening pigs, laying hens, young birds – up to 10%;
- birds – 3-7%.
Meat and bone meal is usually added to any ready-made type of feed (dry, wet, mixed).
Overdose: It is important to follow the instructions for use.
Special precautions: After introducing meat and bone meal into the feed, it should not be subjected to heat treatment, because this will lose most of the protein and vitamins.
Special precautions for personnel: When introducing the feed additive into compound feed, protective gloves and goggles must be used.
