Monocalcium phosphate feed
- Chemical formula: Ca(H2PO4)2
- Form: Light gray granules.
- Pharmacological properties: Monocalcium phosphate is a defluorinated phosphate containing more than 22% phosphorus and 16% calcium. The feed additive is intended for enriching and balancing the diets of farm animals in phosphorus and calcium. Phosphorus is part of the structure of nucleic acids, which serve as carriers of genetic information, therefore it regulates protein biosynthesis, and therefore immunity. Phosphorus also promotes normal digestion, ensures glycolysis, carbohydrate absorption, renal excretion, lipid transport, amino acid metabolism and much more. Calcium is able to neutralize the harmful effects of some elements, including sodium, potassium and magnesium. Calcium ions increase the protective functions of the body, reduce cellular permeability to bacterial toxins. Calcium is necessary for the normal functioning of the heart, nerves, muscles. It affects the availability of phosphorus and zinc when using feed.
- Storage conditions: Store in the manufacturer's packaging in a dark, dry, well-ventilated area at a temperature not exceeding 25ºС.
- Packaging and storage: Feed additive manufacturers pack monocalcium phosphate in 25 kg polyethylene bags. The shelf life, if storage and transportation conditions are observed, is 2 years from the date of packaging.
Effectiveness of use: Phosphorus-calcium feed additive, which has about 100% of water-soluble phosphorus, is suitable for all types of animals, because for their full-fledged feeding not only protein, fats, carbohydrates and vitamins, but also minerals are necessary. The effectiveness of its use in animal husbandry is explained by the fact that phosphorus of inorganic origin is absorbed by animals as well as organic. The use of feed phosphates increases the full-fledged feeding of animals and increases their productivity (daily gains, meat quality, milk yield).
Application standards: Monocalcium phosphate administration rates (per head):
- Dairy cows – 35-100 g/d;
- Dry cows – 25-70 g/d;
- Producing bulls – 30-75 g/d;
- Young cattle up to a year old – 10-30 g/d;
- Young cattle over one year old – 25-50 g/d;
- Horses, mares – 30-60 g/d;
- Foal – 8-15 g/d;
- Sows – 30-60 g/d;
- Guinea pigs – 8-15 g/d;
- Adult chickens, turkeys – 1.5-2.5 g/d.
Overdose: It is important to follow the instructions for use.
Special precautions: Missing.
Special precautions for personnel: Use protective gloves and goggles when adding the feed additive to the feed.
Forms of incompatibility: Missing.
