Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not a random string of letters. It comes from a passage of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2,000 years old. Richard McClintock, a professor of Latin at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, studied one of the least understood Latin words – consectetur – from a Lorem Ipsum passage.
