Feed mixture for acidifying water and feed "FLP""

Pharmacological properties
FLP is a feed mixture for acidifying water and feed based on organic formic, propionic, and lactic acids, which has an antimicrobial, antifungal, and regulatory effect on the digestive system of animals and poultry.
The pharmacological action of the drug is due to the properties of the active substances, which in an undissociated form penetrate the cell membrane of microorganisms, dissociate in the cytoplasm and reduce intracellular pH. This leads to disruption of enzymatic processes, inhibition of growth and death of pathogenic microflora.
The feed mixture exhibits bactericidal and bacteriostatic activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Clostridium perfringens, Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica)
Lowering the pH of drinking water and feed to a level of about 4.0 creates unfavorable conditions for the development of opportunistic enterobacteria, which contributes to the prevention of diarrheal syndrome and a decrease in mortality.
Propionic acid has a pronounced fungistatic effect, inhibits the growth of mold fungi in feed and prevents their secondary contamination. Formic acid has strong antimicrobial activity, especially against anaerobic microflora. Lactic acid is a physiological organic acid, gently regulates acidity and contributes to the normalization of intestinal microbiocenosis.
FLP reduces the buffer capacity of feed, activates digestive enzymes (pepsin, proteases) by optimizing the pH of gastric contents, improves digestibility and absorption of proteins and minerals. Promotes the development and preservation of the integrity of intestinal villi, which increases the area of nutrient absorption. When used through the drinking system, the drug reduces the formation of biofilm, bacterial plaque and mineral deposits in pipelines, improving the sanitary condition of the water supply system.
Clinical features
Animal species
Pigs, poultry (broiler chickens, laying hens, turkeys), rabbits.
Indications for use
Control of the growth of pathogenic microflora (Clostridium, E. coli, Salmonella) and fungal microorganisms in feed. Prevention and reduction of the risk of enterobacteriaceae and diarrhea. Acidification of drinking water and feed to improve the digestibility of proteins and minerals. Improvement of the sanitary condition of the water supply system (removal of biofilm and bacterial plaque). Increased productivity, physiological condition and feed conversion.
Contraindication
Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Use without dilution or in concentrations exceeding recommended ones.
Side effect
Not detected.
Special precautions for use
Do not mix with alkaline reagents until pH is neutralised. Ensure uniform dissolution in water or feed before use.
Use during pregnancy, lactation, and egg production
The drug is allowed to be used in pregnant, lactating animals and laying hens at recommended doses. It helps maintain the physiological state and does not negatively affect the development of the fetus or the quality of milk and eggs.
Interaction with other means and other forms of interaction
Do not use simultaneously with vaccines and antibiotics. Compatible with most other feed additives and trace elements when recommended doses are observed. Not recommended to mix with highly alkaline or concentrated disinfectants.
solutions without pH control.
Dosage
The dosage of the drug is determined based on the results of titration of farm water, taking into account its initial pH level and buffer capacity.

Indicator Dosage
Acidification of drinking water 0,02% - 0,08%
Control of Salmonella development in feed 0,2% - 0,5%
Feed for piglets 0,15% - 0,4%
Feed for growing animals and finisher 0,15% - 0,3%
Feed for sows 0,35%
Poultry feed 0,1% - 0,2%
Stabilization of finished feeds 0,15% - 0,2%
Flushing the system 5%

Dosage for flushing the drinking system: Prepare 5% solution of «FLP». Fill the water supply system with the solution. Leave for 4–5 hours. Rinse the system thoroughly with clean water. During treatment, limit animal access to the system.
Overdose (symptoms, emergency measures, antidotes)
Not applicable.
Special precautions
Do not use concentrated solutions without prior dilution. Follow the recommended doses to avoid excessive pH reduction in feed or water.
Withdrawal period (withdrawal period)
Not installed.
Special precautions for persons and service personnel
When working with the concentrate, use personal protective equipment: gloves, goggles, overalls. Avoid contact with skin and mucous membranes; if it gets on the skin, rinse with water. Do not inhale aerosols and vapors of the concentrate. It is forbidden to eat, drink or smoke while working with the concentrate.
Pharmaceutical features
Forms of incompatibility
