Pharmacological properties: Азитроміцин – напівсинтетична речовина, макролід. Активний по відношенню до грампозитивних (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Actinomyces spp., Clostridium spp, Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae) та деяких грамнегативних мікроорганізмів (Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Actinobacillus spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, E. coli, Proteus mirabilis, Spirochaetales spp., Leptospira spp), а також до хламідій та мікоплазм.
The mechanism of action of azithromycin is to inhibit the synthesis of microbial cell proteins. After injection, the active substance of the drug quickly penetrates into the tissues and intercellular fluid, where it remains for a long time, accumulating in macrophages.
Effectiveness of application: Azithromycin hydrate is prescribed to cattle, sheep, pigs for the treatment of diseases of the respiratory, digestive, genitourinary systems, musculoskeletal system and soft tissues caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug, including mycoplasmosis, Glaeser's disease, actinobacillary pleuropneumonia, swine dysentery, laminitis, etc.
Application standards: Azithromycin hydrate is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a dose of 1 ml per 50 kg of body weight, once. Young animals are administered the drug at a dose of 0.5-1 ml per 10 kg of body weight. If necessary, the drug can be repeated after 48 hours.
Overdose: It is important to follow the instructions for use.
Special precautions: It is not recommended to inject more than 10 ml of the drug into one place. Slaughter for meat of cattle and pigs is carried out 40 days, and for cattle - 35 days after the last administration of the drug.
